Hadley's Story...
Hi there, my name is Hadley, and aren't I just the sweetest dog you've ever seen?! I was brought here when my owner sadly lost her home. Everyone here thinks I'm a great dog and I just want a nice, quiet home, where I can spend the day sitting by your side. I've been told that I am quite active for an eight year old and would still enjoy meandering walks around the neighborhood with my new owners. Similar to most dogs my age, I'm a little slower on some days and get nervous about being handled if I'm feeling sore. I'm in great spirits though, and know that my perfect quiet person will be in to bring me home soon. Do I sound like the perfect mellow new pup for you? If so, come in and meet me today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hadley, a Ithaca Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Ithaca, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Ithaca.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ithaca already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ithaca breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ithaca paves the way for another one to be saved.
