Whitman--pending's Story...
This tall, blue and handsome fella is Whitman, who is a stray from down south so we aren't sure of his exact age but we first estimated him to be about 4 or 5 years old. Now that Whitman is getting comfortable in his foster home and feeling better he acts much younger. A bit unsure of things when first arriving to his foster home so his foster Mom would have to go outside with him but he quickly learned that if he was a brave confident dobie boy he would get a snack when he came back inside. Whitman is very thin so he definitely enjoys his snacks!

Whitman has been very curious of the resident cats and we aren't confident he would be good in a kitty household. So far Whitman has been good sniffing noses through the fence with the dogs of the house but because of his recently neuter surgery we have not been able introduce him off leash to the other dogs.

Whitman is crate trained and so far is doing good with his house training. He is definitely tall for a dobie boy and is using his size to his advantage. He is able to reach things on counter tops that others may not be able to reach.

Whatever his past life was like it didn't damper his enthusiasm for the people he meets. Whitman needs and deserves a chance with a family that will love him.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Whitman--pending, a New Richmond Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in New Richmond, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in New Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
