Hello friends! My name is Harley and I am a 7 year old neutered male Yorkshire Terrier who was found as a stray and taken to a local shelter. My owners sadly didn't come for me so the nice shelter contacted the amazing people at NBS Animal Rescue to help me find my fur-ever home!
I am a super sweet fella who is very social, I enjoy going for walks, meeting new people and dogs who are friendly and mellow, and snuggling on your lap. I am doing well with learning how to do my personal business outside, and how to settle down quietly in my comfy crate when my foster parents are at work. As a senior fella I am looking for a calm and quiet home where I can soak up lots of TLC from my new family. I like to snuggle in bed with my foster mom and dad, sit on their laps on the back deck while they pet my soft fur, and explore our fenced yard while supervised by my foster mom and dad.
I do have a slight heart murmur and some hair loss from those pesky fleas that were chewing on me while I was wandering the streets - but - good news! I don't need any medication for my heart at this time and those fleas are gone and my soft fur is growing back nicely!
My friends at NBS Animal Rescue are helping me to find the perfect fur-ever home. These are the things I fur-sure need in my new home:
* Quiet and calm home environment.
* Family who is home often with less than 5 hours alone at a time.
* Kids must be over the age of 12 with small dog experience preferred.
* Prefer fenced yard, but will consider applications without a fence that have a plan for daily walks described in the application.

P.S. Here are the helpful steps in applying!
1.) Visit www.NBSAnimalRescue.com happy to adopt me. As an approved adopter, my rescue friends can set up a home visit so I can meet you, and whatever other pets you have in the home to make sure we all get along. Our rescue is 100% run by volunteers, to help your application be processed as quickly as possible, please make sure to do the next steps too. : )
2.) Call your veterinarian and give them permission to release info about your current and past pet’s veterinary history.
3.) Call your references too! Let them know to expect a phone call from an unknown phone number, and a rescue team member will need to talk to them on the phone as a reference.
My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes a DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine (age appropriate), heartworm test (age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food. If you’d like to meet me, please apply online and to become an approved adopter!
Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on vaccinations and heartworm preventative , spayed/neutered (unless a documented medical reason is on file with your vet). Dogs must be current on Distemper DHPP combo vaccine and Rabies vaccine, cats must be current on Distemper and Rabies at the time of application. This also applies to any pets in your home within the past five years.
