Devotional…that’s the best way to describe Julian. He LOVES. He wants to be close. He snuggles. He’ll sit on your lap anywhere, any time, for as long as you let him. He’ll sleep on your bed. If you want a cat that will LOVE, LOVE, LOVE you…this is Julian.

He’s one very special boy who had a rough start. When he came into Stray Cat Blues foster care about three months ago – he only weighed five pounds. His paws were burned and filled with puss. It’s hard to imagine who would be cruel to such a sweet kitty, but that bad situation is behind Julian now. He’s safe and his true adoring personality has flourished. He now weighs 9 pounds and is such a handsome fella who doesn’t like the camera flash – closes his eyes every time.

With each day of kindness and good food, Julian blossoms. He does have a heart murmur but with good vet care, a nutritious diet of canned and dry food, and lots of love – Julian will be a great addition to any family for years to come. He would be most comfortable in a home as the only kitty. His foster home has too many cats and that is a struggle for him.

Julian deserves a second chance. He’s now fully vetted and microchipped and patiently waiting to find his “furever” home. Could that be with YOU? His foster mom prefers non-smokers only.

Julian is neutered, litterbox trained, is up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. He is also microchipped!

About Stray Cat Blues

About Our Rescue Group...

Officially, Stray Cat Blues, Inc. is a no-kill, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization providing rescue and placement to stray, abandoned, and feral cats. Personally, SCB is a small group of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to find loving, life-long homes for cats. We are professional in our practices, but we are emotional on the subject of homeless cats, and the ways in which we humans can work to prevent this epidemic of strays.

Stray Cat Blues actively works to find permanent homes for the stray cats in our program. Our kittens and cats are exposed to the pet-loving public at our different adoption locations (see Come Meet our Pets section below) to facilitate adoptions and to provide visibility for our organization. Our cats can also be seen online at www.adoptapet.com.

Most of our cats offered for adoption are strays and their offspring that are rescued off the streets.

For those stray cats that are more wary of humans, especially feral cats, we can help humanely trap, sterilize and either return them if the area they live in is safe and they are being fed, or we house them and adopt them out as barn cats.

Our Adoption Process...

We require an application with vet references or a home visit. All the animals are screened for feline leukemia and FIV, inoculated, sterilized and wormed when they first come to us. Healthy, adoptable cats and kittens are then housed through our network of foster homes. Our adoption fee is only $95. (Fee can be paid by cash or check at our Petsmart North Wales/Montgomeryville location. At our Collegeville location, the fee can be paid by cash, check, or credit card.)

If you are interested in adopting a cat, you can find our online adoption application at our website - www.straycatblues.org. On the side of the page there is a section labeled Quick Adoption Links. Click on the link for application to adopt a House Cat. Click on this link, fill out this short form, and be sure to click Submit at the bottom. One of our Adoption Reps will then contact you within a couple of days to guide you through the adoption process.

Alternately you can complete a paper application at Petsmart when we have SCB volunteers present (see times for adoption showings). Questions - email us at: savingstrays@yahoo.com. We are happy to answer general questions, and also put you in touch with the foster families for questions about specific cats.
