Stealer's Story...
Young Stealer is a delightful 2 year old fellow who is an owner surrender due to a move and change in household. He weighs about 62 pounds. His move to our kennel nearly felt like home as he had lived in a house full of dogs, 3 males with ages ranging from less than 1 year old to 8 years old and a female. His name is was initially a bit of a mystery to us until we got to know him a bit, and clearly this cutie is a heart stealer! He is a very clean guy in his kennel, no potty issues and no chewing or eating of his bedding. He loves a crate all decked out with blankets and covered over the top and sides like his own man cave. Stealer knows many commands including sit, stay, and lie down. At feeding time he gets very excited and will talk or "sing-bark" for his supper! The boy is a bit of a counter surfer but takes correction very well. He walks great on a leash (if one uses a prong collar or a harness), and is a gentleman in the car. He lived with a pre-teen and two teenagers, so we would recommend he be placed in a home with children of similar ages. We are not sure how he feels about other animals such as cats or other smaller animals. A home of moderate activity or greater, with ample time to provide exercise and just hanging out with you will be a great fit for you both.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stealer, a New Richmond Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in New Richmond, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in New Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
