Hello! I am Digger and I am a 62 lb, 1-2 year old yellow lab who is looking for love! I was found living outside of a restaurant for several weeks. Folks started looking for my owners, but nobody showed up for me. Finally my sweet foster mom took me in and said she would find me a great home that will love me forever! I love people and I mind my momma very well. I can sit and come and lay down. I am not sure about other dogs, I seem to get along with some, but I definitely do NOT want any other dogs near my food. I like some of my foster mom's dogs, but not all of them. When my foster mom brought me to the vet for all my vetting, we found out that I have a mild case of heartworms. Heartworms are worms that are transmitted by mosquitoes and live in the heart...they are not intestinal parasites. But thankfully for Critter Cavalry Rescue, I am being treated and will be 100% in no time at all. My treatment can be done with a forever family, so I am hoping to find my forever home soon and we can do my treatments together. Critter Cavalry will cover all my heartworm medical expenses, they would just love to see me in my forever home while I am in treatment. We wish people would understand how important monthly heartworm prevention is! Perhaps together you and I can spread the word?? If you would love to wake up to my handsome face everyday, please contact Critter Cavalry and let them know what life would be like together!
