Casey's Story...
Every shelter pet comes with a story. Then there is that one that comes along with no ordinary story. This time, it is 1 year old Casey, with a special story to tell. My first thought was "Casey at the Bat" but dismissed it thinking it just didn't quite fit. Still not finding just the right way to tell her story I decided to look up the poem after all. Thinking, ok, Casey definitely struck out, so it did kind of fit, but still not just right. Casey did not strike out by any fault of her own. That is when I came across "Casey at the Bat the Sequel" and it fit perfectly. Casey is also getting a second chance to shine. What makes her story so special is the condition she came to us in. Casey had a ruptured uterus and to the extent hers was, should have been fatal. It was no easy fight, but if this little girl had the will to live then she deserved every means possible to make that happen. It was not in vain, as to the shock of many, Casey was back at home plate that next morning ready to give the game another chance. Just like the sequel, Casey has already made a home run, grand slam, and then some in our minds. A total come back as if it never happened at all! Truly amazing. But, what she needs now, is that true second chance to shine in a special home where she will be furever. Like she deserves.

Act quickly to adopt Casey. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Casey, a West Warwick Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in West Warwick, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in West Warwick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Warwick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Warwick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Warwick paves the way for another one to be saved.
