Waylon's Story...
Who’s that handsome guy chilling out over in the corner? Well, that’s me, Waylon. I’m a quiet, calm, and relaxed boy who’s ready for love. I’m just a big, smooshy love muffin. I like to be held, pet, cuddled, and scratched. Hard to believe that I was rescued by FOHA from a county shelter that was nearly full to the brim of gorgeous, adoptable cats like me. Who wouldn’t want the purr-fect creamsicle boy in their life? Since I’m such a calm boy, I’m sure I’ll be a great companion as you nap on the bed and read a book or curl up on the couch to watch a movie (“The Secret Life of Pets”, perhaps?). I’m ready to find my chilled out forever family and get started with the next chapter of my purr-sonal movie entitled “The Best Forever Family Ever: Starring Waylon the Wonder Cat”. Well, maybe just Waylon.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Waylon, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
