THANK YOU for wanting a RESCUED DOG/PUP!!!!

My name is Buddy! I am a Shar Pei mix and about 2 years old. Life was not easy for me on the streets with my companion Holly. I was picked up by a rescuer from an abandoned house where a nice lady would come to feed us. Our skin was red and purple, we had almost no hair and we were still eager to be picked up. From that day forward we have been loved and cared for. I have energy and love to play with Holly. I like to roll in the grass and visit the dog park. I am crate, potty, and leash trained. I only bark when I get excited and when I'm nervous about strangers approaching my handler. I just want to cuddle with you on the couch, lay on my belly for you to pet me all day and chew on my chew toys. Car rides are my favorite, if I can sit up front with you. I do well with other dogs and I'm okay with cats. I would also be okay as an only dog. My rescuer calls me her "sweet boy" because I just want to be loved and I am gentle. . My hair has fully grown back and I have a beautiful, soft coat. I am heartworm negative and I am also up to date on vaccines, neutered, dewormed, flea treated and microchipped. Please consider adopting me, and maybe even my companion Holly too!  Just email Juli at and she'll take it from there.

GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter - all of our dogs are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each dog comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations that are appropriate for their age, microchipped, heartworm tested and on current on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $200.00 FOR LOCAL DOGS AND PUPPIES( Local is in the state of Texas)!  Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption.

IF THIS IS AN OUT OF STATE ADOPTION, TRANSPORT TO YOU is included in the adoption fee of $400.00 for adult dogs and $450.00 for puppies.  We transport all over the country!!
All our dogs are socialized and we try to provide you a good understanding of the dog’s personality. About Our Rescue Group...

Donate to Our Rescue Group...

Please donate on the "Contact Us/Donate" page! Thank you!!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have local adoption events weekly at the Pets Barn on 1604 and Blanco in San Antonio.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption application required. Adoption fee of $150 for local adoptions and $350-450 for out of state adoptions (includes transport fees).
We work hard to place dogs in the right homes, if the adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in Bexar county usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal, help the adopter screen applicants and help facilitate finding another home for the dog.
