Dudley is a super sweet & snuggle bunny Boston. Loves to sit in your lap and be held like a baby. He has been in a foster home with other dogs and gets along nicely. He is a typical Boston boy that likes to play, eat and snuggle. Dudley loves attention, playing to work off some of his energy & then settles down for a good nap. He is not aggressive with people or other dogs. Dudley is still working on his hiking, but he is a smart boy and if given an opportunity to go outside first thing in the morning periodically throughout the day and right before bed time he will learn in short order. He was born with a defected right eye so is blind in that eye, but this does not cause him any problems and the vision in his left eye is just fine. He also has two permanent scars on his right neck/shoulder area. Dudley originally went to rescue from a shelter in north Alabama 4 years ago and sat in that rescue for 4 years waiting for an adopter. No one wanted him because of his eye. This is a real shame because he is a wonderful and loving little Boston that just needs a home of his own where someone will love him and give him the training he needs to be the best he can be!
Dudley is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, heart worm negative and on preventative. Dudley is very healthy and is has had full blood work and a dental which FOHA had done since we took Dudley into FOHA.
Dudley is a very sweet & gentle Boston. He is crate trained and is working on his hiking with the use of a belly band - he is doing well. He will scratch on the door to be let out. He is good with our old female Boston. He rarely barks. He is something of an escape artist and since he is small can fit through slats of certain fences and will try to run out the door so great caution needs to be taken to insure he does not get out and get lost or killed. He does need some training to keep him safe. He walks on a leash pretty well and loves to go in the car.
Dudley should be fine with respectful kids that are used to being around a dog. He seems to love everyone! He seems to want to chase the neighborhood cat so perhaps a no cat cat is best.
