My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

November 2016: Bridget is a Great Pyrenees/Shepherd mix and about a year old. She was found as a stray and never claimed, as is often the case in the south. She needed to gain some weight before she could be vaccinated and spayed. The people who found her fostered her before she came north and she did great with their little girl, other dogs and the cats. She weighs 50 lbs now but is still underweight.

Bridget is not a big fan of the crate but probably has never used one so she is learning that it’s not a punishment and that she will be OK. If she is left alone and not crated she will destroy things so it's important that a family be committed to using a heavy duty crate or "puppy proofing" an area for her. Because Bridget can get a little worried when she is left alone, we think she will do best in a home with other dogs.

To learn more about Lucky Pup Rescue, please visit our website: www.luckypuprescue.org. If you have interest in any of our dogs, please fill out the application and we'll work with you to find a great match for your family: http://www.luckypuprescue.org/#!adoption-application/c1aw8.

Please note, we do not have a physical facility where our dogs are housed, they are cared for in our network of wonderful foster homes throughout New England. If you find a dog you would like to meet, our expectation is that, once approved, you will travel to meet the dog in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.

Thank you for considering rescue!
