Major is always ready to play and to have an adventure!
This high-energy boy's favorite activity is fetch and he'd love an adopter who can play and be active with him. Major is very smart and easy to train. He seems house-trained and is great with other dogs. However, he is not good with cats. Ranger seems tolerant with kids, but has never actually lived with any. He would probably be most comfortable with a teenager instead of a young child in the home.
Major knows quite a few commands including "down," "sit," "stay," "come," "no," "leave it," and "wipe your paws." He will be very quick to learn more tricks and commands if his new person desires to teach him more. An ideal home for Major would include structure from everyone in the home and a good outlet for his high energy.
He has a history of lunging at males in his previous home, and he may need some additional training for that. Fortunately all of our dogs come with lifelong behavior assistance, and our behavior staff will be happy to put together a training plan for his new family.
Major is a very soft, smart and lovable dog. He is the package deal! Come by and visit him today!
