  • Age: Kitten
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: C009680
  • Hair: Short
Tiny little Dunkle was trapped in a feral colony along with his brother and best friend Doby. He was such a little thing from having to search for scraps of food to survive that you could see his ribs when became a lucky St. Francis foster baby. When he joined our little foster family he was pretty scared and is still on the nervous side. He had never been inside a house or witnessed dogs before or been handled by humans. It didn't take him long to realize how wonderful life was inside! The outside world for a little kitten is very dangerous and scary. They often go with hungry tummies and have to hide to stay safe. Playing is hard to do when you have to hide but now he has lots of toys and friends. Dunkle still needs some time and patience to truly feel safe. He keeps close to his brother and his other foster siblings. Dunkle loves to cuddle up with him for a nap in his favorite basket after a kitty play session. He will be shy and nervous, needing time to feel safe and comfortable but will purr and offer up his tummy for belly rubs when he is held. Don't worry, Doby or another fur baby will help him ! He's already a brave a little boy who loves to be petted and purrs so loud you can hear him from several feet away! He hasn't met a lot of people yet in his short little life. Like all young kittens, he is very active and loves to play. He would love to stay with Doby (and he would sure love to stay with Dunkel!). Please email me if you would like more information about this sweet boy or his brother Doby. They both deserve a happy forever after in a loving forever home-ideally together!

About St. Francis Society Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

St. Francis Society Animal Rescue is an all volunteer, non-profit 501-c-3 animal rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of sick, injured, and stray domestic animals as well as spay/neuter and medical services for those animals. We seek to place animals in a loving foster or permanent home after recovery and we DO NOT euthanize unless terminal illness necessitates such a decision. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, tested for leukemia/FIV (cats), wormed and vaccinated before they are adopted.

PetSmart management can assist with an adoption during other days/hours, time permitting. Cats are onsite 7 days a week.

If a cat is located in a foster home and the foster has provided contact information, you can get more details on a particular cat directly from them.
