Betty is a pretty black cat, with soft black fur and bright green eyes. She arrived in our foster care after being abandoned in Ridgewood, and is now enjoying the good food and head scratches!

Betty is a devoted lap cat and loyal companion. She'll happily greet you at the door, and patiently wait for head bonks and chin rubs. She enjoys a vigorous play sessions, and will dash and leap after a fishing pole toy. When the day is done, she is the picture of contentment while snoozing on your lap. Betty strongly believes she should be the only cat in residence, and needs to be a single kitty.

Betty is the perfect cat for a caretaker who enjoys a relaxed home and a loving kitty. She is 3 years old, spayed, vaccinated, FIV and FeLV negative, and microchipped. She's ready for her forever home! Please email to arrange a play date in Brooklyn.

About Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

Our rescue group was formed in December 2007, but all our Board Members have had extensive experience rescuing and working with abandoned animals. We often work with other rescue organizations to find appropriate and safe foster and adoptive homes for our pet clients. We regularly go to areas with abandoned animals and collect them. The animals are taken to a licensed veterinarian examined, treated and spayed or neutered. Every effort is made to work with the animal and our foster and adoptive families to find a suitable forever home.

For those animals who are truly wild and feral, we release the animal in a safe and secure location after it has recovered from its medical treatment. We also work with certified wildlife rehabilitators to rescue injured and orphaned wildlife. Our organization is focused on improving the welfare of the abandoned animals in need of help in Brooklyn. In furthering that goal, our resources are focused on the animals.

Aside from a few minimal overhead costs such as our website and phone services, our entire budget is spent on animal care such as medical and food costs.
