Sparkle's Story...
Sparkle and her 2 siblings Logan and Reese were rescued from a very sad hoarding situation. They had over 30 kittens and 20 teenage and adult cats living in filthy conditions without enough food and clean water for them all. The care taker of this very large group agreed to surrender all of the animals to St. Francis and two other local rescues. Logan joined my foster family on August the 25th. She was very dirty and very underweight and sadly, very scared. The first task was getting all the creepy crawlers off of her little body, giving her much needed deworming medicine, flea treatments and fresh water and enough healthy food to eat. I'm very happy to report that Logan, Reese and Sparkle started to play and act like the adorable kittens they are after a few days with St. Francis! As expected, they are all a little shy and will need some time to adjust to their new home and humans. Sparkle is the most timid of the three but has made so much progress. She will need a family that understands how scary and hard her first two months of life were. Like all young kittens, Sparkle is very active and playful. If she can't find a home with one of her other foster siblings, she will do best a family that has another younger cat that will play with her and teach him to be brave and enjoy the good life that dhe deserves. Please email me if you any questions about Sparkle or any of her siblings. This sweet little girl deserves her happy ending.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sparkle, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
