Facts about Olive

  • Breed: Schnauzer (Standard)/Poodle (Miniature) Mix
  • Color: Black
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Olive is around 30lbs and is approximately 3-4 years old. She was pulled from a kill shelter in West Tennessee along with her friend, Denver. They both beat euthanasia by a couple of hours. They were riddled with sarcoptic mange and heartworms, but they have successfully beat them both!

Both are house, leash, crate trained. They also know "sit, stay, go in crate, and lay down". They are wonderful with cats, kids, guinea pigs, and other dogs, both big & small. Both of these babies have the most expressive honey colored eyes. Both of them are always smiling! Both have easy going loving and sweet temperaments with an inner puppy that is always ready to come put and play when you are. Both take treats with soft mouths and patience! They have been very well loved and have have thrived in their foster home!!

Olive is a gentle soul with a shining heart. I've never ever seen her loose her patience even when she had a rambunctious beagle puppy nipping and chasing her heals. She was so tolerant and just played along with him. She loves baths and her favorite part is being blow dried!! She is a true companion at heart, would be great in any home with a family who would return her love and loyalty that she is so ready to give.

If you are interested in adding Olive to your family, please go to to complete an online adoption application. She is being fostered in Tennessee in a home with other dogs, cats, and young children. She will be transported up north once their adoptions are finalized.

About Goofy Foot Rescue - Southington, CT

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a foster based rescue out of West Tennessee. A surfing term like "goofy foot" in West TN? We are California transplants! Goofy foot means surfing "with your right foot forward"....and we strive to always put the right foot forward in all we do!

We moved to TN from CA 8 years ago and immediately began "rescuing", although we didn't know that's what we were doing. We just knew that stray dogs kept finding us and we would do whatever was necessary to get them vetted and into wonderful, loving homes. We soon ran out of relatives and friends to beg to take a dog so we began branching out. We soon realized that even though we have a massive overpopulation problem here in the south, the eastern states actually have a bit of a shortage of dogs in a rescue we began adopting our Southern Beauties out to the northeast!

When you adopt a dog from Goofy Foot they come to you fully vetted. Fully vetted means they've been to the vet, had age appropriate shots (2 sets if the dog is a puppy), rabies vaccine if over 12 weeks, fecal, deworming, heartworm test if over 6 months, spay or neuter, grooming, flea/tick/heartworm prevention is current and any other vetting that the dog may require. Our low adoption fee of $395 covers all of this vetting AND transportation to you! Adoptions in the state of TN that do not require professional transportation are $195.

Goofy Foot Dog Rescue consists of a husband, wife and two daughters along with several wonderful fosters that offer their homes and hearts to these dogs as a temporary stop on their way to their forever homes. We are grateful for our fosters, supporters and adopters and we couldn't do this without all of you!
