Cinnamon is a gorgeous British shorthair mix who can often be found on the top shelf on the cat condo getting the best bird view in the house. Cat expert Jackson Galaxy would refer to her as a tree dweller. Cinnamon has the sweetest face and is very affectionate. She even rolls over for belly rubs! Her previous owners said that she is a lap cat whose favorite toys include a laser light and toy mouse. Born in 2007, Cinnamon prefers the company of humans to felines so that she can have all the attention to herself! We feed Cinnamon prescription food to help prevent urinary tract infections. The food is not expensive, and as long as Cinnamon sticks to her diet, she is healthy as well as happy. If you want one awesome pet, Cinnamon will be purrfect for you!

About Heartland Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

Heartland Animal Shelter is a no-kill humane 501 c 3 organization dedicated to finding homeless pets forever homes while educating the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets in order to help with the pet overpopulation problem.

Dr. Herbert Preiser, DVM and founder of Heartland Animal Shelter wanted to make a difference by saving the lives of pets who might otherwise be euthanized because of the over-population of unwanted pets. Dr. Preiser opened Heartland Animal Shelter in October of 2002.

Heartland's vision is to eliminate euthanasia to any adoptable animal. Heartland asks for your support by spreading the word about the importance of why pets should be spayed or neutered in order to prevent overpopulation of cats and dogs. Together we can make a difference!
