Meet Joey a wonderful 10 year old shih tzu who weighs 12 lbs.  Joey is a great boy full of personality.  We are not sure why his owners decided they did not want him but that does not matter.  He is a great boy who so deserves a wonderful forever home.  He gets along great with everyone and would be a great companion for another shih tzu his same age.  He is very active and loves to run and play.  He is also super smart and learned the first night how to get into his foster mom's bed.  So that is where he sleeps.  If you want to add Joey to your family, a place in your bed is a must.  He also loves to ride in the car and insists in riding in someone's lap.  That makes him a great dog to travel with.  He walks well on a leash and while it might take him awhile do his business (he has to find the perfect place and time) he will 'go' on a leash.  Joey is a wonderful little boy.  He is neutered, current on all his shots and microchipped.  If you are looking for a shih tzu to add to your family and you meet Joey's specifications please contact Vivienne at or 615/943-7311.  ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.

About Critter Cavalry Rescue New England - NH Chapter

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website. Won't you please adopt a shelter animal? Or won't you please help us foster a shelter animal while we are looking for their perfect home? What a gift you can give a dog or cat by giving them a place to feel safe and secure....a forever home or a foster home. Won't you help us at Critter Companion Rescue give them a chance to have a life?

Our Adoption Process...

Most all our dogs are fostered in Tennessee and transport up to the Northeast or New England. Our fees start at $500 and can be higher depending on the dog and circumstances for their vetting. All fees cover the health certificate, transportation up to designated places for families to pick up their pre-adopted dog, spay/neuter, rabies, all shots, fecal and dewormings, microchip, complete vet check up and 4 way heartworm test if dogs are older than 8 months.
