GAMBIT is a happy-go-lucky 1-year-old grey-and-white neutered male American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull) and Bullmastiff mix who was rescued from a high-intake public shelter. About 80 lbs, Gambit is an agreeable, laid-back dog who adapts well to different situations. He greets everyone he meets with a wagging tail, and will be your friend quickly if you give him a belly rub. Gambit's favorite activities include playing with balls and hanging with his people. When he came to the shelter, he had a painful condition called entropian eyes, where the eyelids fold into the eyeball; a generous donor made it possible for him to have surgery to correct this and he has recovered fully, so he's is ready for his forever home. Gambit has completed professional training so he's a well-behaved fellow who walks well on leash and knows basic commands. He is not reactive toward other dogs when out walking, but would do best as an only dog. Gambit is an affectionate, silly guy who will be a loyal best pal and an excellent sidekick for anyone seeking a larger breed dog with a goofy, gentle personality.
