Stella is a special little lady!  She was  rescued from a bad situation in San Angelo involving many other chihuahuas and brought to Dallas to find a forever and loving home.

She is 9  years old (maybe older) but still has sass and lots of love to give.  She is spayed, current on vaccinations and heartworm negative.   She loves company, enjoys being with people and wants to be in the same room with you.  Stella loves her naps!  She is housetrained and enjoys going outside and rides in the car.  She does well with other dogs and may be delicate but she is confident and comfortable with dogs of all sizes. Stella is indifferent to cats.

Because of neglect and poor nutrition she is missing some of her hair.  She a black long haired chihuahua and should have tan fur on her face and black fur on her tail.   It is not mange and the vet is hopeful that proper nutrition and some TLC will help restore her pretty coat.  Her foster family has noticed a difference already and she loves to eat!

Stella is a sweet senior lady who is the perfect choice for someone looking for a  little shadow and lapdog. She is so appreciative of the loving home and care  she has been needing for too long.  Stella loves napping on soft pillows, small chewsticks and being with you. She is such an easy little girl and involves no effort - she will totally capture your heart!

About Cody's Friends Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

About us: Cody was the first pet I owned as an adult. He was a Shih Tzu that I bought unknowingly, from a Puppy Mill. He fought for his life and barely survived, suffering for the first few months of his life. From then on I was stirred by a ferocious passion to save as many dogs as I could through networking with other rescue groups and saving the ones I could off of cold streets and unwanted in shelters. Cody did not live a very long life due to a weakened body, but I was able to love on him for eight good years! He will always be loved and forever remembered. With over 400 dogs rescued so far, we ARE making a difference!!
Thank you for visiting and considering a rescue........................

Our Adoption Process...

Thank you for adopting and not buying!!! Every week hundreds of highly adoptabledogs are put to death by local shelters. Most people would be amazed at the purebred and beautiful dogs available, if they walked into their neighborhood shelter.

Rescue organizations, like mine, work hard to save as many as we possibly can but is a never ending process with breeders and Puppy Mills selling unhealthy animals to the public. If you EVER saw a puppy mill you would NEVER buy again!

All of my dogs are neutered or spayed, vet checked, completely vaccinated, wormed, groomed and checked for heart worms. They are all are current on Heart worm medicine, flea, and tick medications. Upon request, they are all microchipped as well.

Adoption fee is $200 to $250 (older "friends' can be less, please inquire. Puppies are $300 - Besides fully vetting all dogs, some of of the dogs I rescue, 1 in 5 I rescue have heart worms which is very expensive to treat. I also take in dogs who need surgeries and are close to death.
** Please note that I do not usually adopt out my dogs with children under four years of age.
