Bridget (Spayed)'s Story...
"Bridget" is a beautiful one-year old female kitty who arrived at the HSOV on July 7, 2016 along with her three tiny kittens after they were found in the Marietta Ohio area. The kittens were estimated to be 5-6 weeks old at that time and, sadly, two of them did not survive :( "Bridget" cherished her one remaining little boy (Bruno) and was completely devoted to him. She raised him to be a happy, playful youngster, and he was adopted on September 8th. "Bridget" is now an empty-nester and is looking for someone to fall in love with her, She is a lovely young lady with so much love to bestow upon whomever gives her a great home. "Bridget" has a brown tabby short smooth coat, a long tail, and a very pretty face with large golden eyes and a splash of white on her muzzle/chin. She has a calm, gentle disposition and does the cute kneading thing with her front paws. "Bridget" was given vaccinations on September 15, 2016. SHe weighs approximately 7 lbs. "Bridget" was spayed on September 28, 2016, and she was also given rabies vaccine. Her adoption fee will be just $20 with an approved adoption application. "Bridget" was combo tested on December 27, 2016 and is negative for feline leukemia, FIV, and heartworm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bridget (Spayed), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
