Cricket--update's Story...
Update 11/13: Cricket has completed her heartworm treatment and will be spayed and ready for her forever home in a couple weeks.  Her foster family will tell you what a total sweetheart she is and what an easy dog she is to have around.  If you think you could offer this Velcro senior a forever home, fill out an application now so she can go to her forever home as soon as she's spayed.

A sweeter soul cannot be found in a package a lovely as Cricket. She is 7 years old and weighs about 76 pounds. Her owners neighborhood was becoming a source of concern for them and their dear Cricket, who they had since a pup. While heartbreaking, they did what they felt was in her best interest to be somewhere where she could be safe and loved. She lived with an older couple who had grandchildren in the age range of 7 to 16 years old visit nearly every week and Cricket was very good with all of them. Cricket also lived with an indoor cat, who enjoyed laying on top of Cricket. Her dog pal in the home was a male min-pin. This fine lady is a classic doberman as she not only does the dober-lean but she can wrap her body around you when standing next to you. Is it possible to be part Boa? Our girl loves a nice stuffed dog beds and will not chew them. She will pull the stuffing out of a toy but will not eat the stuffing nor the toy afterwards. Housebroken and super clean in her kennel. She does fairly well on a leash and rides fine in a car. Unfortunately, Cricket is heartworm positive and will have to complete her treatment, which takes about 3 months, prior to going to her forever home. Happy homebodies looking for a wonderful companion dog need to line up right here!
