Rufus's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Rufus's Story...
I was found as stray in Lake Charles Louisiana and taken in by my now foster family. The little girl of the house named me Rufus though I do not really answer to it. I am approximately 4 years old, neutered, UTD on shots and HW negative. My foster family has two cats that I am very interested in smelling but one of them swatted me so I stay clear of him. There are two other dogs in my foster house (Maltese and a bloodhound) that I enjoy playing with but I do not like them around when I get a treat or bone. I have met the neighbors and visitors to my foster families house and enjoy being loved on by every one I have met. I am a bit of a talker if I am not getting the right amount of attention or want outside. I saw some chickens and it was fun chasing them though I did not hurt them at that time. I am well mannered, gentle, calm and affectionate and enjoy rubbing my face all over the carpet. I am kind of a picky eater but counter tops and tables are good places to surf for additional snacks though I try really hard to resist temptation, at least when someone is looking. I do not liked to be confined in a room by myself. I accidentally chewed threw the door to get out. I am not happy about being in a kennel and try to dig out but it has not worked so I gave up and am content until my foster family gets home from work because I know I get all the loving then.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rufus, a Fayetteville Bloodhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bloodhound for sale in Fayetteville, or seeking a Bloodhound dog from a breeder in Fayetteville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fayetteville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fayetteville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bloodhound breeders who help with Bloodhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fayetteville paves the way for another one to be saved.
