My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone, my name is Ika. I am a stunningly beautiful 2 year old, 63 lb purebred (unpapered) female German Shepherd who is losing the only home I have ever had. My family loves me very much but health concerns in my family have made it difficult for them to continue to care for me properly. I am an outgoing and affectionate dog who LOVES my person more than anything and loves to show it by snuggling up against your legs. Kids are some of my favourite people as I have been raised with them. Once I get to know a dog I am friendly and often playful with them. But I can also be picky about my canine friends and may bark at unfamiliar dogs I meet on walks. For this reason my current family says I need stronger leadership than they have been able to provide me.
I am a medium-high energy girl who loves to go for two good walks a day. I would do best with an active home who would take me with them on hikes and outdoor adventures. I also love my toys and playing catch with them. Since I also enjoy playing catch with cats, a cat free home is best for me.
While I know the commands sit, stay, back, slow and waiting for "okay" before eating my food, I am not house trained. This is because I have lived my life outside. But I am a very smart girl and it won't take me long to figure it out.
I am a very healthy dog, am spayed and up to date on my vaccinations. My adoption fee is $450.
