Poor Karly Sue! Imagine having a home of your own for 6 years and then suddenly your whole world changes. Karly Sue's family recently had a second child and no longer have enough time and energy to deal with her. She is an active little dog and they can't exercise her as much as they should. They are returning her to Lucky Dog so we can find her a new family that will provide the activity and attention that she needs.

There are so many good things to say about Karly Sue. Her former family describes her as being loving, inquisitive, and very friendly. She gets very excited to see children and will jump up to lick faces. She has lived amicably with other dogs but has not been around cats.  She sometimes barks when on the leash, especially when first meeting other dogs, but then settles down. She does fine with other dogs at the dog park.

Karly Sue may be 7 but she's young at heart. Karly Sue is currently living with a foster who says she is very energetic when going out for walks but calm and respectful inside the home. Her foster mom describes her as a sweetheart.

The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Diane at!

About Lucky Dog Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is a group of highly motivated and highly dedicated volunteers. We spend countless hours making sure that wonderful dogs find loving forever homes. We don't do it for money -- we do it for the joy a dog can bring to its new family; we do it for our love of animals; and we do it to save lives!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!
