Annie's Story...
Hi! My name is "Little Orphan" Annie or just plain Annie, and I am a gorgeous 3-year-old spayed tortoiseshell lady with claws. My medium-length fur is beautifully marked and the lady who brought me to Safe Place for Pets thinks my face makes me look like an owl! My human mom died recently, and my friend Rain and I were alone in her apartment for a short time after. I never dreamed that this would happen to us and I’m so confused and frightened that I don’t know what to do! I loved my mom so much. I used to lie on her lap and let her pet and brush me. I loved that! I’d also sleep with her. It was so nice and now everything in my world has been turned upside down. Now I need a new furrever home, and someone to love me and help me feel safe again. You can visit me at the Safe Place cattery.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Annie, a Colorado Springs Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Colorado Springs, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Colorado Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colorado Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colorado Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colorado Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
