Facts about Matthew

  • Breed: Miniature Pinscher
  • Color: Brown/Chocolate - With Tan
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
Mattie is a fun, clever little imp, constantly entertaining. He loves to play tug, and chase toys you throw, he really doesn’t retrieve, but enjoys the thrill of the chase, and will zip around at high speed with his catch to celebrate. Busy and inquisitive, Mattie requires supervision, if left on his own, he will find mischief! After a busy day, Mattie cuddles with you in a way so sweet, your heart will melt each time. It’s hard to resist the charms of this sprightly boy, but he needs firm boundaries, he has started obedience training to learn good manners, and is doing very well. Mattie would be great for a performance home; agility, lure coursing and Barn Hunt would all tap into his natural abilities.
The adopter should be willing to continue training, and most importantly, able to set boundaries and supervise him whenever he is out of the crate, he isn’t the kind of dog that can be parked in the back yard or allowed to roam the house when no one is watching. He would probably love a family with kids, but that might be too much stimulation for him, maybe be an adult person or couple?
Matthew's adoption fee is $225.00
He is completely vetted, micro-chipped and on Heartworm prevention. We do require a fenced yard for Matthew. We require all of our adopted dogs to be maintained on heartworm prevention and vaccinated in accordance with your veterinarians guidelines.

About Min Pins & More Rescue, inc- Ohio

About Our Rescue Group...

Our Mission is simple. To rescue Miniature Pinschers who are unwanted, abandoned, neglected, mistreated or are victims of inhumane treatment and then find responsible, loving and lifetime homes. To educate potential owners about the Miniature Pinscher and their special requirements, to ensure an educated decision when selecting the breed. To counsel owners on solving problems to help them keep their Miniature Pinscher. To educate animal control officers and shelter staff on how to identify the Miniature Pinscher and the special requirements and characteristics of the breed to aid in proper evaluation and placement.

Our Dogs are evaluated by a veterinarian for common health issues, are given required medical care, spayed or neutered and microchipped. We screen every applicant very carefully to ensure that they understand the responsibilities involved in caring properly for a pet. Our responsibility is to place our dogs into homes that will best meet their needs, both physically and emotionally. We look for people with patience, loving hearts, and an understanding of a min pin's needs. A detailed application from which we conduct reference verifications and a home visit with all household members present are pre-adoption requirements. A follow up visit may be scheduled at a future date to ensure that everything is working out well for the dog as well as the family. During this process, our pets are safely and lovingly cared for in private, approved foster homes in which we observe and evaluate each minpin for temperament and behavior, continue with the pet's socialization and training, and provide for their physical well being and health.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our dogs are all in foster homes at varied locations, but please contact us via email at and we will be happy to discuss any dog you are interested in learning more about. We are also at Tractor Supply Co on periodic weekends to introduce our dogs to potential adopters.

Our Adoption Process...

Adopting a Friend is the most important commitment humans can do for themselves as well as for the pet. It is a huge decision and one that should never be taken lightly. Understand that the dog you get from us has already lost it's home and therefore our goal is to make this placement final and forever. Pet adoption is a lifetime commitment that we take very seriously. If you are interested in adopting, we ask that you email us at and we will get back to you with our adoption information.
