Shadow's Story...
SHADOW is a handsome all-black kitty with beautiful green eyes, and a little white locket on his chest. He came to us after his person passed away. He has a wonderful, outgoing, friendly personality and he loves people and other cats. He seems to have no fear, and loves to go exploring in the side rooms of the shelter until someone catches him and brings him back. One would never guess that he is fourteen years old. He is quite vocal and is not reticent to ask for what he wants – usually food and attention.

Shadow has adapted very well to being here, but what he would really like is a nice new home where he can have lots and lots of attention, places to explore, and maybe a nice soft lap to curl up on. Come and meet this sweet senior soon.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shadow, a Milford Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Milford, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Milford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Milford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Milford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Milford paves the way for another one to be saved.
