Freddy's Story...
Hi! My name is Freddy. I am the fluffiest little ball of joy you’ll ever meet! Aren't I just adorable? I have a super soft and fluffy coat that looks all black at first, but is actually grey underneath, very majestic and handsome. I am currently 8 weeks old and I am looking for a home to call my own. I love other kitties, as well as people. I get along great with everyone and I absolutely love to play. I enjoy chasing my littermates, playing with toy mice and toy jingly balls, climbing cat towers and tackling other kittens. I am silly, funny and full of love. I always use the litterbox like a good boy and I am ready to go to my forever home. If you have the time, energy and patience to raise a baby like me, please apply today. Adoption fee: $100. Adopt a pair: $150. Fee includes testing, deworming, vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip and 60 days of free pet insurance.

Adoption Process: Complete the application at www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Freddy, a Troy Domestic Longhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Troy, or seeking a Domestic Longhair kitten from a breeder in Troy.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Troy already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Troy breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Troy paves the way for another one to be saved.
