Sarah Jessica Parker once said, “You can’t be friends with a squirrel! A squirrel is just a rat with a cuter outfit”. If you agree with Sarah Jessica Parker, then I may just be the pup for you! My name is Ellie and I am a 1 1⁄2 year old, 23 lb,  Terrier mix. A little about me: I love to play, chase squirrels, play, climb into my human’s lap, chase squirrels, play, cuddle and snuggle, chase squirrels, play, take long walks, chase squirrels and play with others. I might not be the life of the party in a crowd, but I will steal your heart and will light up your home with joy. Some must haves that I need to make my home merry and bright include: a fenced in backyard, a home with a playful doggie friend who is small to medium sized, and I need for my owner to be a very loving woman, with preferably no men or children living in the house. I am a shy girl, so it’s important that I have a family who will give me time to settle in, and help me build my confidence. If I sound like the perfect addition to your family, contact our Adoption Coordinator and tell her you want to be friends with me!

About Agape Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Agape has been a strong force in the community since it was started in June of 2004. The group has held youth education programs, low-income spay/neuter operations, and works hard to educate the public on a daily basis. They also help displaced animals every day. With the help of several volunteers, we are able to foster pets in a safe and happy home until they are placed in their “forever” homes. We host animal adoption days at the local Pet Smart locations, rescue animals from abusive or neglectful situations, provide routine Veterinarian attention and pay for advanced medical attention, such as surgery and medicines.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Agape dogs and cats can be seen at the following locatins:

Our Adoption Process...

To inquire about adopting a dog, please fill out an application. We do make visits to the adopters home prior to approval. We ask for your current vet information as a reference and, upon adoption, there is a contract that must be signed . Our adoption fee for most adult dogs is $200. The puppy adoption fee is $250 which includes a state regulated $25 refundable fee that is reimbursed after the dog has been spayed or neutered. Another $25 will be reimbursed after your dog graduates an obedience training class post adoption. On average, we spend $350 or more per dog while they are in foster care. to offset the cost of shots, heartworm checks /treatment , spay/neuters, heartworm preventative, and frontline for each animal. All of our animals are spayed or neutered prior to placement. Please spay or neuter your furry friend, too!
