Chevy's Story...
Chevy is a sweet 1 year old lab mix. He loves people and he loves to give kisses. He is very smart and he loves to play. He gets along great with other dogs. He is fully house and crate trained already. He was hit by a car at some point in his life and has had hip surgery which caused some arthritis in his back end. We have been managing it with pain meds and he has been getting around great. He will never be a running partner, but he does fine on long walks and would be a great family or companion dog to just hang out with. This sweet boy will be available at our adoption event this coming Saturday 10/15 at Petco 2211 S. College Ave from 10am-1pm. If you are interested in this friendly boy, please submit an application through our website aaanimalrescue.org. Please feel free to email with any questions allaboardanimalrescue@gmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chevy, a Fort Collins Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Fort Collins, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Fort Collins.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Collins already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Collins breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Collins paves the way for another one to be saved.
