From the Foster Family: Kody is a sweet gentle lil guy that came to us from a Reservation, this is likely his first home. He started his journey with us very scared but quickly learned to cuddle on the couch and play with a variety of chew toys. He wants to play with the resident dogs but hasn’t got the hang of it quite yet. He is very sweet tempered and gets along great with his fur buddies. Kody knows how to kennel up and is potty trained. He is calm and mellow when on the couch but is apprehensive when he’s outside or running around the house. Kody needs love and patience to thrive.
About Me: Hi I’m Kody. I am a collie mix that loves having a family, a home and a food bowl that gets filled twice a day. In the past I never knew when I was gonna eat, so my foster mom tells me to slow down and enjoy my food. I’m learning leash manners. I’m learning to give kisses and trust my foster family. I learned to “kennel up” and I am treat motivated. I love to run in the backyard with my foster sisters and chase the Frisbee. My foster family keeps yelling to this “bring it back” character but I don’t know whom they are talking to. I’m looking for a family that will cuddle and play with me. My foster mom says I’ll make a great companion for one lucky family.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption Process:

1. Search adoptable animals and fill out the application when you find one you want to meet.

2. Adoption coordinator will review application and check vet/personal references.

3. Foster schedules a “meet and greet.” This could take place at an adoption event, public place or foster's home.

4. If foster and adopter agree it’s a good fit, then an adoption home visit will be scheduled.

5. After home visit is approved, payment and adoption contract will be completed.

6. Once payment, adoption contract and age appropriate vetting are complete, the new owners can pick up their pet!

All dogs/cats are fully vetted through our partner clinics and will not be adopted out prior to being spayed/neutered*, microchipped**, vaccinated & tested, as age appropriate up to the day the adoption contract is signed and payment is made. All animals are giving wormer and heartworm preventative (species and age specific) while in foster care. Adoption fees are non-negotiable.

Adoption Fees are based on the animal's species, age, health and length in rescue. Their fee will be listed in their descriptions.

*Puppies must be at least 8 weeks old to be spayed/neutered before adoption. Kittens must be at least 8 weeks old and at least 2 pounds to be spayed/neutered before adoption.
**We do not microchip cats since we require them to be indoors.
