Sparkle is a beautiful, petite gray young adult tabby girl that was rescued along with her newborn kittens. She had found what she thought was a safe place underneath a commercial a/c unit behind a BBQ restaurant on a busy intersection in Atoka, Tn. Thankfully a Good Samaritan contacted us to tell us of her plight! She was not much more than a kitten herself at the time! (Soon after Sparkle's rescue her sister Barbie was also rescued with her litter of kittens underneath a shed at the same BBQ restaurant. Barbie is also up for adoption!)

All of Sparkle's kittens have since been adopted, so now it's her turn to find a home of her very own. Sparkle is a little shy, but she loves to be petted and rubbed. She gets along fine with other cats and dogs in her foster home. She's never been around children. Sparkle is ready to shine and become someone's new best friend!

About Tipton County Paws & Claws

About Our Rescue Group...

Tipton County Paws and Claws is a growing group of volunteers that are dedicated to improving conditions at the Tipton County Animal Shelter. We celebrated our first anniversary on Aug. 29, 2013! So far we have been able to implement a vaccination program, a spay/neuter program, a feral cat program, a transportation program, a dog walking program, and we're working on so much more! Educational programs, community awareness, and animal advocacy are things we're working on.

We welcome rescues and cross posters to share photos and ask for foster homes for animals you are interested in.

We welcome and appreciate all donations, which go toward things such as vaccinations, de-wormer, spay/neuter, feral cats, transportation, and anything else we can do to help the animals at the shelter live healthy lives until they find their way to furever homes!

Our Adoption Process...

As an animal advocacy group, we connect shelter animals with our partner rescue groups, and the potential adopter with the rescue group who has committed to that pet.

Each rescue group that we partner with has a different set of adoption fees, rules, regulations, and required contracts. As a general rule, all will require references and a home visit.

Please give us a minimum of 48 hours to respond to your inquiry, although we will try to respond even sooner! We will always make every effort to respond to any and all inquiries in a timely manner.
