I’m Spizman. Odd name I know. But that's what grocers who sold spices were called. Not sure how I got that name, but there ya’ go.
I am a neutered, male, Cocker Spaniel (mix), I weigh about 25lbs, and I am about 4 years old. Do you know Cockers are known as the “smallest member of the sporting dog family?” And my breed dates back to the 14th century! We are usually known as fluffy little lap pets, but we are actually very high energy dogs. And yes, we need a little grooming (that’s why I have such a short cut right now...I wasn’t properly brushed, and I was all matted), but it’s easy to do. And when I was rescued, I had a case of heart worms, but I have almost completed my treatment, yay! And as soon as I am finished, I can go to an adoptive home!
I am house trained, crate trained, I am okay with cats, and I will be just great as an only pet. I haven’t been around children; so, my foster mom isn’t sure, but we can check it out...I’m willing if you are. My foster mom says I am “a ball of energy who cannot wait...to settle into a new life filled with running and playing.” That sound just like me. I also enjoy when my foster mom plays games with me and give me toys that challenge me and make me figure stuff out. I am really eager to learn and spend time with you.
We need to meet so you can see what a great dog I am. And so you know, I can be pre-adopted even before my heart worm treatment is finished. So, you can pre-adopt me and we can both look forward to being together very soon. Fill out an adoption application and fill in my name, Spizman, as the dog you want to adopt. The web address below will take you there!
