Barney is insecure when meeting new people, but is a very loving and good dog. He'll bark at you at first, but will come around when he realizes that you mean him no harm. We are looking for a dog savvy person; someone who understands dog behavior. Barney doesn't show very well, but it only takes one treat and a walk and he becomes your best friend.
Barney had a rough life so far, his prior family kept him tied up where he barked and barked for help for months...maybe his whole life (2 yrs).
Barney's foster mom loves him and knows that he is a good dog and whoever gives him a chance will love him too.
If you have time, patience and know about dogs Barney will make a great dog with the right leader.
