Adorable and gentle little soul.  Sweetie is a very gentle little love bug that just wants to know who she belongs to.  Quiet when she meets  new people, warms up with a happy smile, tail wag and affection.  Wonderful addition to family (currently fostered in a home with 5 kids)  single, or active senior.  Sweetie was owner surrender into the shelter because of allergies, we have no other history on her, great off leash, hasn't had any accidents, but we advise families taking any new dog home to act as if they are not housebroken.  She has a super short soft coat that makes her very cuddly, she loves being fussed over.  Sassy enjoys quieter children and will prefer woman over men.  Adoption donation $350, includes her spay, rabies, dhpp vaccine, bordatella vaccine, heartworm test, heartgard, frontline, microchip, worming, microchip and frontline.

Email From her foster home:

Hi Melissa!

I've been meaning to send you an email, but all five kids got hit with the stomach flu, so it was crazy around here for a bit! Sweetie was so cute though.....cuddling with them and helping them feel better. She's doing great! She loves playing with our dog and they have become good buddies. She's eating well, playing hard, and getting lots of love and cuddles. When our kids are playing with our dog and Sweetie thinks our dog is getting too rough, Sweetie steps in and scolds her...it is so cute! I also plan on getting some pictures and video to you soon, now that we've all recovered! :)
Hope you are doing well!

Take Care,

I just had to share this with you. Sassy loves all the kids but absolutely adores our three year old. Sassy will let her do anything!! Katelynn caries her around all day and sassy is never too far from her. There's a lot of love and patience in this sweet girl!

Take care,

About Field Of Dreams Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

The mission and vision for Field Of Dreams Rescue is to save dogs of all sizes and all breeds by placing them into loving, forever homes. We are an all-volunteer, foster home based, dog rescue organization based in northern California. We do not have a physical shelter. Instead, we operate primarily through our foster homes, online databases and at adoption events/expos.
The majority of our animals come from animal control groups where overcrowding and overpopulation lead to the euthanasia of millions of healthy, friendly pets every year.
We are committed to providing the dogs that come Field Of Dreams Rescue with the best possible care while they wait for their forever homes by acclimating them to life outside of a shelter and providing the appropriate veterinary care needed.
We also serve our community and adopters by educating and encouraging responsible pet ownership with an emphasis on the need for spaying and neutering.
Because our foster homes are the backbone of Field Of Dreams Rescue, and to help our organization run smoothly, it is our goal to provide the best experience possible. We encourage each foster home to be as involved as they are comfortable with and allow them the freedom to foster based on their needs, restrictions, or desires.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All dogs go into foster homes, appointments can be made daily to meet dogs.

Our Adoption Process...

Field Of Dreams Rescue typically charges adoption donations from $200 to $400 depending on the age and breed of the dog. This amount covers our cost for basic vet care for our healthy animals which includes spaying/neutering, age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, microchipping. Frequently, medical expenses for a single dog far exceeds the adoption donation. A few days of emergency care can easily run over $1000. Many of our volunteers contributed personal funds to help offset costs for our dogs, but every single dollar received from adoption donations goes directly to care for our animals. Any "extra" received goes towards those dogs that require more extensive medical care. When we are able, we bring in dogs that may have some minor or even major health concerns as these types of dogs are more at risk of euthanasia than healthy ones.
In general, adopting a dog is much more economical than "buying" a dog from a store or breeder. A "purchased" dog plus vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip can easily exceed $2000 depending on the breed.
