Abu's Story...
You will not need Genie to tell you how great I am. One minute with me and I will tell you how adorable I am. My name is Abu, a love machine from the great beyond. I am the best snuggler at bedtime that you will ever have. I have fun touching your nose, ears, playing on the pillow all before I serenade you to sleep. Then I wake! Zoom Zoom Zoom my play motor kicks into high gear with tail in the air. Toys, window watching and my friends all make up a wonderful day. Life was not this good for me before. I so totally enjoy being with people and playing that I glow! If Genie grants me 3 wishes, I wish them to be 1) toys, toys and toy 2) to never go hunger again 3) a warm home full of love and excitement just for me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abu, a Smithfield Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Smithfield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Smithfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Smithfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Smithfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Smithfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
