My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Does anyone have a lap to spare? That is the question on this little girl's mind!
Cricket is a 3-4 year old 5-1/2 pound Chihuahua Pug mix.
Cricket was left tied to a bench for two days after her owner died. Cricket was beside herself distraught with grief and very scared.
She would not have done well in the shelter system but has settled in very nicely and her rescue/Foster home.
This girl is overflowing in personality! She is very smart and very entertaining. She I knew immediately what it meant when foster mama said "where are your toys?" she loves her toys and will entertain herself by tossing them. She will also flip them to you when she wants to play.
Cricket rides very well in a car. The first time I got her out of the car kennel she not only boosted herself into my arms but she flipped herself around so she landed on my arm facing forward!
Cricket is very vocal. She will use her growly voice when she is talking.
She is also very sweet and adorable down to her little curly Pug tail !
Cricket will need an adult only home in a home with a low-key lifestyle with lots of snuggle time to share.
She is a good watch dog and will alert to all unknown noises otherwise not a big barker. She will bark at strangers and at the Vet office, so a home with a lower social activity lifestyle would be best for Cricket. Though with proper training she may be able to overcome the behavior.
Cricket is potty pad trained and enjoys going outside to go potty (but may need a little training in a new home).
She seems to be fine with other small gentle dogs so one other dog may be ok. She lived with a gentle older Chihuahua boy.
She just loves her 10-week-old spunky Chihuahua foster brother.  They love to wrestle and she is even protective of him.
It may take a few days for her to warm up but once she does she is a very lovable and affectionate girl. She loves both men and women.
Cricket has been spayed, Microchipped and is current on vaccinations.
