Poppy (reduced fee)'s Story...
Poppy is a special girl looking for a special home. She is a 3-4 year old Chihuahua. Her and her daughter Patches are looking for new home. If adopted together, the fee would be reduced. Poppy is nervous around new people and very cautious. It takes her a while to warm up to strangers. She becomes very close and loving to her family members though. Poppy needs a quiet, understanding home. One that would allow her to slowly integrate into the household, preferably with no younger children to make her nervous. She is in a home with other dogs, but she would need patience and proper introductions if her new home had dogs. Poppy is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations and heartworm negative. She is also microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Poppy (reduced fee), a Brattleboro Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
