Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ramsey came into our rescue in March from Ansonia Animal Control.
This boy has the most AMAZING personality! He has the best smile, and everyone who meets Ramsey instantly falls head-over-heels in love with him.
We discovered that he had a heart murmur, and after an echocardiagram and evaluation, he was diagnosed with pulmonic stenosis - a congenital narrowing of the valve between the pulmonic artery and the right ventricle of the heart. Without surgery, his life would have been short and the quality of his life poor.
Well, we couldn't let that be! We raised funds and in August he had surgery at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. Today he had his follow-up echocardiagram which showed that the surgery had been a GREAT SUCCESS!
He will need follow-up visits with a cardiologist, but the prognosis is that he will now be able to live a long, healthy, happy life!!!!!
AND now he can be available for adoption!
Ramsey is a total ham. He will make you smile every day.
He is a playful guy who will do well with another dog his own size, who is tolerant of an "in your face" play style. He should not be in a home with cats. Because he is a bit of a tank, we're recommending a home with children 10 years old or older - he could easily knock over little ones with his enthusiasm.
Above all else, Ramsey is a true cuddle bug. He just LOVES to be loved, and gives it back 100 fold.
He will make some lucky family a totally terrific new family member!
