  • Color: Unknown
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: U2016086
  • Hair: Short
Cobby is a sweet domestic short hair. He came to us as a very sick kitty when he was just 2 months old. We treated him and got him healthy enough to be neutered. But then he started getting sick again. Tests and our crackerjack veterinarian Dr. Albano figured out that he has a liver shunt. He needs medication to control it and as long as he takes the medication he can live a full and happy life. He is doing well, going from 1.8 lbs. when he came in to 4 lbs. now. Whoever adopts Cobby will need to give him medication twice a day for the rest of his life. Please come visit Cobby at the HSMC Shelter and if you’re interested in him, our medical staff will discuss it with you.

About Our Shelter...

The mission of The Humane Society of Marion County is to prevent the cruelty, suffering and over population of animals.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are open to the general public every day except Wednesdays. Our adoption hours are from 10am to 6pm every day except Wednesday. We are at the PetsMart in Ocala every Friday, Saturday and Sunday for adoptions. Please go to our web (www.thehsmc.org) site to see the different events that we are involved through the year.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption fee for dogs is $90.00 and for cats is $55.00. There is an adoption application that must be filled out and approved. Once the application is approved a meet and greet and home visit must be completed before an animal can go home.
