Do you have a quiet home and a soft lap? If you do I would love to meet you. My name is Trixie, I am 7 yrs old and front declawed. I have had a pretty rough 6 months but I am finally starting to decompress. The only home I knew was gone, I was surrendered to a high kill shelter, adopted out and returned and lingered until the last day before I was to be euthanized. You see when I was adopted the person was told I had never been around other cats, and they said please do a slow introduction, but the person didn't listen and I had no time to gain my bearings I was thrown into a room with 2 other cats that were aggressive towards me so I had to fight back because I was scared. I don't have claws so I did the only thing I could I bit my new human because she was trying to break up the cat fight. She did not hesitate to return me back to the pound. I sat there waiting my fate 10 day hold and if no one stepped up my head would be cut off and sent to Columbia for a rabies test. Now can you understand why I have had it pretty rough. My foster mom does her best to keep other cats away from me. She assures me I am sweet and I love the attention she gives me. I want most to have a forever home without other cats and probably without kids. I was once loved by an elderly person and I loved that person so much that when the only world I had known was gone I became very sad. Now though I understand that being a foster is a transition phase and I can't wait to begin the new chapter in my life. Are you the one to open the book and help me rewite the rest of the novel?

About St. Louis Pet Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

St. Louis Pet Rescue is a non-profit rescue group focusing on saving pets from local animal control facilities and other neglect situations.

We do not have a facility. All of the pets we rescue are in loving foster homes. Foster homes provide love, care training, and, if needed, rehabilitation to the pets. This also allows the pet to be more adjusted when they enter their forever home since they are used to a home environment (versus a kennel at the pound).
