Our rescue will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express Saturday, October 22nd from 1-4pm and Sunday, October 23rd from 12-3pm. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated and microchipped.
* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. * We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted. * We do not ship our dogs for any reason. * Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy. * If it is on a weekend of our adoptions, follow us on @DPSRescue on Twitter to get real time updates on our adoptions. We will also post at the end of the evening the names of those dogs who have been adopted: www.facebook.com/DPSRescue
This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, October 22nd from 1-4pm and Sunday, October 23rd from 12-3pm or until adopted. However, we do meet with those who submit an application and are approved just prior to the event (by invitation only) and they are given the first opportunity to adopt. If you are interested in one of our dogs, we recommend filling out an application prior to the event to be considered. Applications submitted within 24 hours of the event may not necessarily be reviewed.
Malcolm is a 5 year old PBGV mix who weighs about 24lbs. He was a rescue from the shelter. He was listed a stray so his past is unknown but the good news is that is future is very bright! Malcolm is currently in a foster home with other dogs. He gets along with everyone. He has been with big and small dogs. He also could be an option to live by himself and be someone's one and only. He's a lover boy. He has a sweet, gentle, nature. He can be a lap dog.
Malcolm hasn't proven to be a nuisance barker. He could be an option to live in an apartment or condo setting. He also could be an option to go to work with Mom or Dad. He could be a meeter and greeter in the office. He has a soft, gentle nature. People are automatically drawn to him. Malcolm is an option to go to a home with cats.
Malcolm is an option to go to the dog park or doggy day camp. Now, he may not be so much of a big player at either but he'll be happy to wander around and meet new friends human and four legged. Malcolm is an option to go to a home with children who are over the age of 8. He could be an option for a first time dog owner who has done their research and completes a very thorough application!
**Not all of our dogs go to each adoption event. We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend)
**If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event, please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it. You may still submit it and if time and volunteers permit, we will contact you. Most applications submitted the weekend of adoptions are not responded to until after the adoption weekend.
