Date Animal Rescued:  September 8, 2016

Date Adopted:

Adoption Donation:   $150.00

All About Me:
Ms. Jelly Bean is a 3 month old Chihuahua mix. She came into rescue from a local shelter with her brother, Jaco Bean.

We can only guess at their previous life as they were very afraid of anyone touching them, other animals, noises, doors, toys and their blankets.

Since being at the rescue and in a foster home they are learning that people are not bad. These two pups will go to an adult only home.

Sorry, no small children due to their fears. They will need someone willing to work with them and help them over come their issues.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jelly Bean, a Old Fort Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Old Fort, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Old Fort.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Old Fort already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Old Fort breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Old Fort paves the way for another one to be saved.
