Princess Sofia is Waiting

I know I look like an ordinary Chihuahua girl, but what if I told you I was a princess with amazing powers (as along as I was performing good deeds), would you believe me? Well, its true. Let me start from the beginning. I once lived in a village called Dallas with my mom. One day my mom married a king, and it turned our lives around. We moved into a magnificent castle. I had a new family and new friends. Life was wonderful, until mom and dad left, that is when my life changed...and not for the better. The evil witch mistreated me, even though I remained kind to her. One day the witch decided I was too much of a bother, after the royal physician diagnosed me as heartworm positive. Next thing I know after 3 years, I've been surrendered to a shelter. I guess I should be happy I wasn't locked away in the dungeon or attic, but it also wasn't a castle for sure. I befriended any animals or humans that looked my way. I like other dogs, which got me through some rough and scary nights at the shelter. It was loud then quiet, and the placed echoed. In the shelter, there were whispers about Paws in the City coming to rescue and help find suitable homes for the shelter's dogs. I thought it was a long shot, but I had to get their attention.

When the day came I worked hard to get her attention. I said to myself, "Sofia you've got to look as sweet as a little cuddle bug." Just as I was about to give up hope, my Paws Fairy Godmother turned to me and scooped me up. I really ate up all that attention! I had been chosen, making this nightmare end.

If you're ready to issue a royal proclamation that I am the one for you, then click that button so I can meet the Prince or Princess that is making all my dreams come true. Lets celebrate our love and live happily ever after.

About Paws In The City

About Our Rescue Group...

Paws In The City® is committed to supporting the City of Dallas Animal Shelter by hosting off-site adoptions for the dogs and spay/neuter education and fundraising through specific outreach programs.

Paws In The City is a nonprofit, 501 (c) 3 organization committed to ending overpopulation, abuse and neglect of Dallas dogs and cats . We are an all volunteer organization with no paid staff.

Paws In The City is committed to the following goals:

 Rescuing homeless dogs and cats from the City of Dallas animal shelters by sponsoring off-site adoptions to find these abandoned animals terrific, loving homes…often many of these wonderful pets are days away from being euthanized simply because there are not enough homes... a tragedy we are determined to end;

 Providing a comforting and positive environment for adoptions;

 Providing medical care to neglected, abused, and injured animals through our outreach efforts;

 Educating the public on responsible pet ownership; and

 Supporting spay and neuter programs…the simple, common sense solution to ending the number of unwanted dogs and cats on our streets and in our city shelters.
