Josie's Story...
Josie is a precious shih tzu mix who was pulled from the city shelter! She came to us with a horrible uri which has since been treated and she's doing wonderful! She's around 2 years old and very sweet! She does well with other animals! We have not had her around children so we don't know how she will do! She is working on house and kennel training! She rides well in a car! She's utd, hw neg (tested below detectable levels) and is spayed!

All dogs have a $150 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Josie, a Grand Bay Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Grand Bay, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Grand Bay.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Bay already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Bay breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Bay paves the way for another one to be saved.
