Hi Everybody! I am Karah!
Through no fault of my own, I was living on the streets.
Some kind humans were feeding me on the side of Highway 60 but had no intention of taking me home.
A kind lady couldn’t leave me there to starve (I was all skin and bones and certainly not looking my best) so she scooped me up.
And the rest is history.
My foster mom says I deserve to be treated like a princess. I am still a rambunctious youngster, under 2 years old. I love my chew toys, riding in foster mommy’s truck, getting belly rubs, meeting new friends both human and canine.
I live with small dogs and dogs my size and get along with them all. Foster Mom doesn’t own any cats so we don’t know about them.
If you are looking for a loving companion (giving kisses is my favorite thing) I’m your girl. I’m currently in puppy class to learn good manners and so far I’ve gotten gold stars. Okay, that’s what Foster Mom says.
Second Chance” is not a second chance for dogs, because that would presume they had a first chance and failed. The majority of the dogs we rescue never had any chances, first, second, or otherwise. The name of our rescue refers to giving humans a second chance to provide a safe, healthy, and loving home and environment for our dogs, since most of these dogs come to us after they have been abused or neglected by their owners.
SCBR solely relies on volunteers to get the work done and no one receives compensation for their work. SCBR receives no funding from the government or the United Way. Our adoption fees and donations from other dog lovers cover our costs.
