11 month old Catahoula Leopard/Greyhound mix, Beso is looking for her people.
Beso was rescued from a high kill shelter In Bakersfield, California. Beso has some herding breed in her. A trainer recommended she be placed into an adult only home and with adopters who understand the herding breeds and will be committed to putting Beso through obedience training classes.
Beso is incredibly intelligent and has her basic training down. She will still need to attend professional training school to bring out all that she can be and have her under complete voice commands. she is only 45 lbs and has pretty much reached her adult weight.
Beso needs a home where she will have a lot of mental and physical stimulus, to keep her happy such as people who will take her hiking or jogging and maybe put her through agility classes where she will excel.
Beso is incredibly friendly, very playful, loves to run with the big dogs in the rescue. On hikes with the rescue pack of 5 large breed dogs/puppies, Beso listens well and can be maintained off leash on woods and trail and will come when called.
Beso is super cuddly and kissy and really likes to be with her humans. She has toys she loves and is just an all around sweet girl.
Beso absolutely loves going for car rides and will jump right in, ready for an adventure or BackCountry hike.
Beso's dream home would be to live as an inside dog but with acreage or a hug fenced yard such as a farm or ranch where she can be with her people while receiving a lot of exercise and stimulus. she would also make an excellent search and rescue dog.
Folks who have experience with herding breeds and/or greyhounds will be optimal adopters.
