Flipper is looking for a super forever home with love!
8/26/16: Hi everyone, it’s Flipper!! My foster mom said I should stop by and tell you all how awesome I’ve been doing. I’ve been doing really good with potty training, I’ve only had one accident in the last few weeks (and it was totally mom’s fault). I’ve also got this going in the kennel when told thing down too. I always keep my kennel clean and I’m so quiet you sometimes won’t even know I’m in there. I still like to pull when walking but I’m getting better and the easy walk harness I have helps a lot. My mom has taken me to a few training classes and they were really fun. The first class was a bit overwhelming for me but I rocked the second class like a champ! I would definitely like to keep working on my training – I like the treats and it makes me work so hard that I need a long nap afterwards. Mom said I should tell everyone that I’m an excellent passenger in the car too. I love to stick my face out the window and let my ears flop all over. I still really love to play with my foster sister and would love to go to a home with another dog to play with. Well, I gotta go play now but I hope I get the chance to meet you soon.
7/25/16: Flipper (I call her Kya at home) is a super sweet girl that looooooves to play with other doggy friends. She likes to play so much that my own dog often hides from her when she needs a break. When Flipper is not playing, she enjoys snuggling on the couch or laying in her bed with a good chew toy. She also enjoys playing fetch and is learning to drop the ball/toy when told. Flipper is very friendly with everyone she meets and loves to have her belly rubbed. Flipper has done great with my 8 year old daughter and was very good with my 5 year old niece while she was visiting. I do think because Flipper is a puppy and doesn’t realize her strength or size, that she would end up knocking smaller children over unintentionally. She has lots of energy and often forgets to watch out for people while she’s zoomin' around the house or backyard. Flipper also lives with two cats and gets along with them quite well. Flipper ignores them most of the time, but once in a while they play a game of “bark and swat” I would say Flipper is 95% potty trained with having only a few accidents over the last 3 weeks. She also hasn’t shown any destructive behavior besides sneaking a few stuffed animals from my daughters room. Even then, she didn’t rip them apart, just gently chewed them until they were full of slobber. Flipper enjoys going for walks around the neighborhood but does need some training as she can be quite the puller. She has improved greatly and I think she’ll get the hang of it soon. We have really enjoyed having this sweet girl in our home and we know you will too. Please fill out your app for her today so you can enjoy her around as much as we have!!!
