Do you need a sweet funny guy in your life? Then Runner is your man! This active goofy boy actually shut down a major freeway in Houston with several police trying to catch him and bring him to safety! He has a few scars that tell a story of a sad prior life. You would never know it when you meet him though! He loves loves loves people and attention! He is looking for the perfect snuggle buddy, it's his favorite hobby! He would thrive in an active family that would honor his name of "Runner!" Want to see him light up? Show him a ball! He will be your best friend!

Runner would do best in a home as a spoiled single dog or with a calmer dog his size. He also does not prefer the company of cats.

He is currently full grown at 70 pounds and fully vetted. And if he didn't have enough great traits, Runner's foster moms are professional dog trainers! You will be adopting a well trained pooch! He is crate trained and housetrained.

Runner is being fostered in Houston, Texas so meeting in person would not be possible unless you are in the Houston area. Out of state transport / flight is available. Local transport fee is $300 and out of state / Canada is $450 USD. This fee includes flight and crate.

About Reggie's Friends- Seattle

About Our Rescue Group...

Reggie’s Friends was founded out of our love for helping dogs. Living in a city of 1.2 million homeless animals, there was rarely a day when we didn’t see a dog in need of help. Instead of just wanting to do something, we figured out how to do something! Reggie’s Friends is dedicated to the health and welfare of dogs in and around the greater Houston, TX area. We focus our attention on helping shelter dogs, street dogs, and dogs who have been abandoned in boarding facilities find loving, forever families. We live and love by our motto #streetlife2sweetlife!

Our Adoption Process...

90% of our adoptions are out-of-state adoptions, meaning meeting the pet prior to adoption is unfortunately not always a possibility. While a bit unconventional, we have adopted over 300 animals to amazing families in the past two years.

The first step in our adoption process is to complete an adoption application. You can access our adoption application through our website at www.reggiesfriends.or. If you hover over the "Adoptables" tab, the application will appear.

Following the application, potential adopters are connected with the animal's foster family for a phone call, or more often, a video chat so that adopters can "meet" the animal and us!

The adoption fee for all dogs is $500, which helps to cover the cost of the flight, a new travel kennel, and their vet care expenses (vetting is completed prior to adoption). Animals will not be flown to their new families until the adoption contract and adoption fee is paid (in full).
